Hi everybody!
Welcome to the 2022 Q3 West Central Florida Physical Judge Conference on September 17th Application! The goal for this conference will be Skills Sharpening. This is a capped conference. As a physical event, foils will be distributed at the end. Note: If this event does need to move online due to an unforeseen COVID surge, the above information may change. Thank you for understanding.
It’s been my goal to bring a Judge Conference to the Tampa area for a long time, depending on how this goes I’d like to make it a quarterly event like Orlando and Miami.
Schedule for September 17th, 2022 (all times are EST):
- 12:30-12:45pm – Welcome by Mick Schroeder & Maddy Young
- 1-1:45pm – ✓Deck Checks✓ by Aaron LeBlanc
- 2-2:45pm – ☂Cover Letters☂ by Ben McDole
- 3-3:45pm – ϕ Judge Trivia ϕ by Mitchell Wetherson
- 4-4:45pm – ★R U L E S★ by James Hickle
- 4:45-5:30pm – Pass out Promos and chair/table cleanup
Applications:
Applications will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis and we will accept up to the cap. The application will ask for a cover letter, so please provide your favorite Magic card and anything else you wish to say.
Masks:
Masks will be required. Neck gaiters do not fit this requirement. If anything changes between now and the day of the conference, I will make an event forum post.
Communication/Updates:
While I will post to the Facebook group and Discord, the primary mechanism for updates will be via the EVENT forums on the Judge Academy Website. Make sure you are set up to receive emails from events for which you have applied. As this is a physical conference, please do not rely on Discord for notifications.
Support:
This is a foil supported conference and in order to receive support you must:
- Apply and be accepted to this event
- Be a Judge Academy certified L1 or higher at the time applications close
- Completely attend all 4 presentations. Please do not be late, and make sure to confirm your travel plans and check for traffic/accidents before heading to the conference. If you are running late, please notify me at the contact email above
Feedback Form:
There will be a voluntary feedback form to fill out for the presenters and the conference itself. Once the conference is underway, I will create an event forum post with the links. Please fill this out, the presenters put a lot of time and effort into their presentations and feedback helps them immensely. The forum link is: Here
