Another Alberta Judge Conference on the horizon!

Date: September 11, 2022 (day after F2F Tour – Edmonton)

Location: Warp 2 Comics & Games – 12863 97 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5E 4C2

Time: 10am – 4pm, with an hour break for lunch/judge tower

Estimated schedule:
10:00-10:20 – Introductions, new judge welcoming, discussion of local events
10:20-11:10 – Presentation 1
11:10-12:00 – Presentation 2
12:00-13:00 – Lunch break + Judge Tower (run at Professional REL, penalties will be sent directly to Richard Garfield)
13:00-13:50 – Presentation 3
13:50-14:40 – Presentation 4
14:40-14:50 – Break time!
14:50-16:00 – Presentation 5
16:00  – Go home!

The focus of this judge conference will be Competitive REL, and facilitating growth of our judges towards competitive events.  We will explore topics including the Infraction Procedure Guide, studying towards Comp REL certification and L2, and the unique logistics and teamwork required to run a successful Competitive REL event. Additionally, we will be exploring practical scenarios and giving judges the opportunity to take live calls at Comp REL.
