Hello Judges!
This conference is aimed at those judges who certified either shortly before or during the pandemic and who haven’t had many chances to judge an in-person event. My hope for this event is that presentations will focus on basic judge skills that new judges will find useful when then pandemic ends and they can begin judging in-person events. This can include generally useful topics for judges, such as rules interactions, as well as things like building a community at a store and working with players to create a positive environment.
Judge Academy has generously offered support for this conference. Judge Academy certified judges L1 and higher will receive promo packets for attending this event. Non-certified judges are also welcome to attend but will not receive foils. This conference is primarily targeted at Judges in North America.
This conference will be offered via Zoom. URL to follow shortly before the event.
Our preliminary presentation schedule includes:
- What Makes a Good Judge? – Nathaniel Graham
- Congratulations, you’re a Judge! Now What?- David Schultz
- Finding and Working with an LGS – Collin Edge
- Commonly Stressful Situations for New Judges – Tommy Lee
- Deck Checks & Investigations – Eliana Rabinowitz
