Hello and welcome to the California Regional Judge Conference.
For this conference I will be looking to run two tracks: a hard skills track and a soft skills track. It will be hosted on Zoom with Discord for chat, and we have space for a total of 200 participants. This is a foil-supported conference for any L1+ judge within Judge Academy that is in good standing. You need to attend four topics to earn a packet. Feedback will be optional.
I am putting out a call for presenters. I have four slots in each track, eight total presenters, and I also have a spot for a backup presenter that has BOTH a hard skills and soft skills presentation. I’m asking that the topics be one hour in length for both the topic and to allow questions. Mention in your cover letter what topics you have and if you desire to be a backup presenter or not. I am opening up the call worldwide, and I am looking for a couple of new presenters that desire the opportunity to present and grow. I will be looking for a couple of California/US West presenters to showcase from the region. If I have never worked with you before or you are presenting a new topic, I am asking that we arrange a time to meet before the conference, go over the slides, and have a run through. I’m sorry for the short notice, but I will be closing down presenter applications on Friday, June 11th at 11:59 pm PDT to allow me time to select the topics. If you wish to attend should you not be selected to present, please mention that in the cover letter.
I also have a spot for another staff member. I am looking for someone to assist me and Bree Yard with moderating the event and various administration work. If you are applying for that position, please mention it in the cover letter. The staff applications close on June 11th.
If you are applying as an attendee, I will be reviewing cover letters. If you submit a blank cover letter, I will be reviewing those last. I will be accepting 50% of the conference from the US West region and accepting the other 50% from the other US regions to facilitate networking and growth among the community. The attendee application process will close on June 25th.
This conference will only be hosting judges in the USA regions.

If you join and there are any judges that do not show up for their slots by the time we begin the conference, if they have not informed me ahead of time, I will bring on any judge that is on and willing to actively participate.
