I’m happy to invite any JA member to apply for this conference with priority given to USA- East Judges!
As things get back to a relative regular and more local stores are looking to get players back into events
it’s time to focus on reconnecting with our communities and developing the ways to do that.
With this conference we hope to focus on ways to show our value to stores at a local level,
build a “judge resume” for a lot of newer or returning judges that might not have had a chance to keep working events over the last 2 years,
learn the things we should be putting on applications to let TOs know what we’ve done to keep our skills sharp
and over all how to work with stores and communities to help build and re-grow the paper magic scene.
Travel and Parking
For our NYC/ train riding Judges, this venue is close to the Deer park train station and we will be offering some transport.
Parking for this location is available as well as a larger free lot within a 5 minute walk.
Store is located in the middle of Deer Park ave. easily accessible from any of the major highways.
Presenters
We are still looking for 4 presenters for the day.
While this is an in person conference we do have the capability of streaming or broadcasting in a presenter so please feel free to apply to present even if you would not be able to present in-person.
In-person presenters will take priority but most importantly we want to make sure quality content is provided.
If applying as a presenter please include a description of your presentation and any previous relatable experience as well as a note of any accommodations you would need on the day of the event.
Registration and Foil Support
All judges welcome to apply, we have space enough for 50 whole Judges at this event!
Judge Academy has allotted promotional foil cards for this conference’s participants. These foils are available if you meet the following criteria:
– Register for the conference by applying to this event
– Be a certified (Level 1 or higher) Judge with Judge Academy at the time you apply, or if you certify after applying, email me at Molimp91@gmail.com
– Be accepted to this event as one of the 50 participants
– Attend each presentation
– Complete 1 feedback form
Schedule
The store will be open from 11 am for anyone to come in and hang out(Breakfast Provided).
Dunkin’ is in the parking lot but Deer Park Ave has a multitude of food options if you choose to come early.
Each presenter will be allotted up to 60 minutes and we will have a meal break between presenters 2 & 3.
Rip and Ship will be open that evening for games of magic after the event. We welcome everyone to bring commander decks of various power levels.
