Staff Solicitation
The weekend’s main event will be a $10k Team Trios event (Modern/Legacy/Pioneer). Day two will be the continuation of that event.
On Demand events and side events will take place on both days.

Expectations
Judges are expected to arrive at the venue at either 8:30am or 9:30am on each day and remain until all rounds of swiss are complete. Typical shifts last between 8 and 10 hours. Judges will be given a full round and half round break throughout each day.
All judges are expected to arrive wearing a Magic Judge black dress shirt, regional polo, or JA official shirt with black pants, a black belt, and black shoes. If you require a judge shirt, please note that in your application.
Roles
Floor judge
Floor judge’s tasks include but are not limited to:
- Answer calls and issuing rulings at competitive and regular Rules Enforcement Level
- Be familiar with the policy laid out in the Multiplayer Magic Tournament Rules and the Multiplayer Infraction Procedure Guide (see below).
- Perform deck checks at competitive Rules Enforcement Level
- Maintain event integrity, a safe play environment, and an atmosphere consistent with the Tournament Organizer’s code of conduct.
Team Lead
Team Lead’s tasks include but are not limited to:
- All responsibilities of the floor judge.
- Leading one of the main event teams by delegating and coordinating the completion of tasks.
Compensation
L1 judges – $150 per day + 1 box of Streets of New Capenna per day.
L2 judges – $175 per day + 2 boxes of Streets of New Capenna per day
Lunch will be provided each day, regardless of level. Dinner will be provided to all judges regardless of level who are on staff past 5pm each day.
Miscellaneous
COVID- 19 Policy
With the rise of Omicron Variant and the on-going pandemic, the safety of our staff and competitors is one of our highest priorities. In order to help protect the health and well-being of everyone at the event, it will be run in accordance with any COVID-19 health and safety protocols as directed by the venue, municipality, state, and country. Additionally:
- All competitors, staff, judges, or anyone else entering an play area are recommended to wear masks.
- No person may attend if they or a member of their household is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. If you have a a fever, or feel ill, stay home.
- The tournament organizer reserves the right to modify these policies as they see fit up to the day of the event.
