CFB Events is excited to invite you to join an amazing team of people who will create some tremendously fun Magic: the Gathering experiences in the MagicFest Online Season 1 from March 23rd through April 3rd. This application will allow you to apply to be a administration staff member for the daily qualifiers.

Please be sure to read the entire application carefully before applying. The application window will close at 11:59 PM (23:59) PDT on Sunday, March 29th, 2020.
We will be processing applications and publishing acceptances in waves starting on Sunday, March 22nd.

There are limited opportunities available, so please be considerate of people who are in need of them. Please refrain from submitting your interest if you are maintaining gainful employment during this time. We would like to give preference to members of the judge and admin community whose income may be suffering due to the event cancellations.

As you are answering the application questions, please select only those shifts for which you are available to work.

If selected to work in a MagicFest Online Daily Qualifier, you will need to be available for the full shift length, and will be required to have access to stable Internet, a computer, and have moderate familiarity with Discord. Your primary responsibilities will be to monitor results as they come in from matches and handle disputes between players if results have been submitted incorrectly. Additionally you may need to interface with players if they become disconnected during a game.

We will be running this tournament using MagicFest Arena.  Please remember, we will be adapting to new challenges as we progress with this tournament series, your flexibility and ability to quickly shift gears or learn new things is paramount.

Staff members will receive 160 USD for each shift worked. All payments will be processed via PayPal at the end of each week in a single payment, i.e. if you work on a Qualifier on Monday and Thursday, both fees will be handled in a single payment at the end of the week.

Please note that all staff are independent contractors and will be required to complete appropriate paperwork which includes a contract with CFB Events for these events.

Please also note that all selected applicants will be checked against the National Sex Offender Registry located at https://www.nsopw.gov.

Non-US staff will be required to complete appropriate paperwork which includes a contract with Tournament Center, the company handling all international staffing for this MagicFest. Submission of Tax and/or TIN information (for example, a Social Security Number in the United States) is required in order to work at this event.
