While the “March of the Machine” release isn’t until April, this 24 March will help you become and L2 Machine.  At this event you will walk away with an L2 check list and self-evaluation.  You will know exactly the steps to March along the path to L2 including subtle social elements of the process like “The proper care and contacting of a L2+ for your L2 rec.”

In addition to several quality, focused presentations (to be announced as confirmed); you will leave the event with a “Make 2023 Your Year” study strategy guide for the IPG (Infraction Procedure Guide), MTR (Magic Tournament Rules), & the most relevant parts of the CR (Comprehensive Rules) for L2 candidates.

If you believe you have insights into helping L2 candidates make the transition or to help existing L2 judges better understand their role and responsibility in judge advancement, please email me with your interest in being a presenter.

I hope to cook food for the event, so when you apply please indicate any dietary concerns/needs.  There is NO promise that any/all such requests will be addressed; however, anyone who indicates a food concern will at least be contacted if the food provided is not suitable.

Warmly,

Mark Mason

PS This is a Judge Academy supported event.  What this means to you is, your participation in at least 4 hours of the event is required.  Further, you must be a certified judge in good standing at the time of the conference to receive foils to commemorate your learning.  While non-certified or non-JA members may attend the event, only L3-Emertus judges can receive foils commemorating your attendance.  Finally, while feedback will not be required, you are encouraged to be a giver as well as receiver.  So please consider thoughtful-actionable feedback for the presenters and the conference itself.
