Welcome to the Massachusetts Q3 Judge Conference!

The aim for this event is to provide a networking opportunity for new and experienced judges in the New England area. There will be four presentations with an hour-long break in the middle for lunch.

This is a Judge Academy supported conference. All current L1+ attendees will receive foils for their attendance. The attendance cap for this event is 50.

While cover letters are not required for this event, my goal is to continue to tailor this and future conferences to topics that attendees would be interested in, so if there are any specific topics you would like to see presentations on, please note that in your application.

If you’re interested in presenting at this event, please indicate that in your application and email sean.calvo@gmail.com, using the subject line “Massachusetts Q3 Conference Presenter”. Please note the presentation topic as well as any specific resources you require. Final presentations will need to be provided a week prior to the event (July 3rd). If you’re interested in hosting a non-traditional seminar such as a panel or breakout session, that’s fine as well!

Conference schedule:
11:00am: Doors open!
12:00-12:50: Ben Coursey – JAR-related topic
13:00-13:50: Matthew Frumento – Topic TBD
14:00-15:00: Lunch break
15:00-15:50: Kenny Dungar – The Right Level of Information
16:00-16:50: Adam Daniere – Judge Jeopardy

Parking

TJ’s Cafe and Games is in a plaza with ample free parking.

Masks Policy

TJ’s Cafe and Games does not have a specific mask mandate in place. The guidance in place for the town of Milford is that masks are “strongly recommended, but not required”. I will personally be wearing a mask, and ask that you consider the health and safety of your fellow judges when deciding whether or not a mask is for you.

Additional Event-Specific Notes

Per town regulation, no outside food or drink is allowed in the venue, as the store providing the space is zoned as a restaurant.

There will be a $5 cover per judge, which is provided back as $5 in same-day credit for food/drink at the store’s cafe.

If you are interested in applying for this event, please make sure you are logged in to do so.

Accurate information is the responsibility of the tournament organizer for each of their respective events. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the organizer directly.
