Nerd Rage Gaming is excited to present the Head Judge and Scorekeeper solicitation for all events as part of Season One of the 2022 NRG Series. For more information on the 2022 NRG Series, please visit this link.

We are looking for Head Judges and Scorekeepers for the following events:

• January 7-9, 2022 – Mundelein, IL
  • 2021 Championship HJ (Friday & Saturday)
  • Saturday $10k Modern Trial HJ
  • Sunday $5k Legacy Trial HJ
  • Scorekeeper
• February 19-20, 20212 – Milwaukee, WI
  • Saturday $10k Modern Trial HJ
  • Sunday $5k Sealed Trial HJ
  • Scorekeeper
• March 5-6, 2022 – Mundelein, IL
  • Saturday $10k Team (Sealed/Modern/Legacy) Trial HJ
  • Sunday $5k Modern Trial HJ
  • Scorekeeper
• April 2-3, 2022 – Fort Wayne, IN
  • Saturday $20k Modern Showdown HJ
  • Sunday $5k Legacy Trial HJ
  • Scorekeeper

Judges who are interested in being in a Head Judge or Scorekeeper role for any of these events should fill out the Google Form here. Filling out a cover letter through Judge Academy is not required. Applications will close on December 22, 2021. Applications received after this date may still be considered, but they will be at a lower priority than other applications.

Advanced role members will be compensated for the entire weekend (this assumes that HJ work in their position for 1 day and as a TL the other day). They will receive their compensation in their choice of check or Paypal upon the conclusion of the event and must complete appropriate tax paperwork (W-9 for US citizens). Judges may opt to receive store credit or product instead of cash compensation. Store credit can be spent at the vendor booth, in-store, or at nerdragegaming.com. Choosing to take compensation in-store credit will apply at 20% bonus (so each $100 earned would become $120 in store credit). Judges may elect to take product of the most recent Standard set at $100/box. Please contact the Judge Manager at least 10 days before the event if you’d like to receive your compensation in product.

Nerd Rage Gaming offers a partial room sponsorship for HJs and SKs should they require it. Judges who receive this partial room sponsorship will have a spot in a staff hotel room for Friday Saturday, and Sunday night (shared with the other Advanced Role staff members, if applicable). In your application, you will have the opportunity to indicate your hotel room preferences for each event.

• COVID-19 Policy: This event will be run in accordance with any COVID-19 health and safety protocols as directed by the venue, municipality, state, and country. All NRG staff members and judges are required to be fully vaccinated, and we strongly urge all attendees to be wearing masks. Do not attend if you or a member of your household is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. The NRG Series reserves the right to modify our policies as we see fit, including mask requirements, up to the day of the event. We also reserve the right to cancel this event at any time. Should this event become canceled due to COVID-19, Nerd Rage Gaming Ltd. is not responsible for covering any costs such as hotel, travel accommodations, or other purchases. We urge everyone to only book travel that is 100% refundable.
