Welcome to the Q2 Pittsburgh Area Mini Conference!
(Please note that this is an in-person event.)

The aim for this conference is to gather a mixture of experienced judges and newer judges from both USA-East and USA-Midwest in a room to share knowledge, discuss past experiences, brush up on some rules knowledge, and hopefully learn something new that will make you an even better judge.

Judges from any geographic location are welcome to apply, but priority will be given to those who live in/around Western/Central PA, Eastern OH, and Northern WV, as the intent for the conference is to develop the local judge community.

The agenda for the event is as follows:

  • Presentation 1) Priority, Turn Order, and the Stack – Bradley Saunders
  • Presentation 2) Entering and Leaving the Battlefield – Stephen Brown
  • Presentation 3) Managing Critical Incidents and Stress – Eric Slater
  • Presentation 4) “What Else Can I Do?” – Renee Buhr
  • Guided Discussion) Helping at the Local Level – Tom Vaughn

This conference will be foil-supported for all Judge Academy certified judges who have successfully applied to the event and have an active L1 or higher certification as of the date of the conference.

Cover letter content will be considered during the application review process for this event, as space is limited.  Please do not submit an application with a blank cover letter. Applications will be reviewed/accepted on a rolling basis.
