Welcome to the Southeast Asia Regional Judge Conference Page for Q3 2021!
This is our region’s Q3 conference which will be held online on August 7, 2021(Saturday), as an online event. 10 am-4:00 pm Manila Time, with a one-hour lunch break after the second presentation.
Platform:
Airmeet is a web-based platform. it is highly recommended that you use a laptop or desktop during the sessions. (Main Platform).
Zoom will be used for the Building Connections in the CR(workshop).
Topics:
10-11:30am Nathaniel Graham – Building Connections in the CR
This workshop focuses on small group learning and whole group shares of the findings. Through a series of puzzles, we will expand our knowledge.
11:30-12:30PM Red Bartolome – Pick Up the Pen!
How to get into writing, and how it can help make you a better judge.
12:30-1:30 PM LUNCH
1:30-2:30PM Sugeng Hartawan – “Finish on Time – Presentation 101!”
If you share a cake between 3 friends, you only get 1/4 of it. but if you share knowledge, it will grow instead of going less. the Dos and Donts of preparing for your first presentation.
2:30-3:30PM Joel Bantiles – The 7 most difficult people you meet in an event
In this seminar, we discuss 7 broad categories of difficult players that you might encounter in your event and provide some recommendations on how to communicate and deal with them
The max capacity of the event for that weekend is 100.
Foil support eligibility:
Everyone is welcome to apply and attend, however, for international members of Judge Academy, due to the community-focused nature of this conference, you might not be accepted if you have not been a known mentor or contributing member to the community and also for logistics reasons for the difficulties of delivery of the promo support.
In order for you to receive judge promos, you must apply via the Judge Academy page.
* A Judge certified by Judge Academy.
* Attend 3/4 presentations.
All attendees are required to submit at least One Constructive Feedback. Something that’s not generic.
Is actionable and based on observation.
Your constructive feedback must include:
Your observation.
If the presenter “did well” or “needs improvement”, it must be followed up with, “why” do you think so?”
Additionally, any actionable suggestions for improvement or different approaches for the presenter to consider must be included in the feedback as well.
Alternatively, an attendee may write a reflection by answering the following questions:
Did I learn anything from the presentation?
Which part of the presentation attracted me the most?
If I were to present the same topic, is there anything different that I would do?
* All submitted feedback/ reflection will be reviewed *
But of course, feel free to send more than one.
