Aareboge Magic Switzerland is looking for multiple floor judges for the Swiss Magic Masters, a weekend of tournaments that will have place the 30th of September and the 1st of October in Interlaken.

Schedule:

SATURDAY

Modern – 200+ Players – Comp REL
8 swiss rounds starting at 10:00 – followed by a single elimination top 8

Duel Commander – 20 Players – Comp REL
5 swiss rounds starting at 10:30 – followed by a single elimination top 8

SUNDAY

Legacy – 100+ Players – Comp REL
7 swiss rounds starting at 10:00 – followed by a single elimination top 8

Limited – 70+ Players – Comp REL
6 or 7 swiss rounds starting at 9:30 – followed by a single elimination top 8

cEDH – 30 Players – Comp REL
3 or 4 rounds starting at 10:30 – followed by a single top 4 game

BOTH DAYS

Side events in various formats (Duel Commander, Limited, …)

 

Our expectations:

Those posts are open for Judge of all levels, you just need to:
-Have some experience in the competitive environment
-Know the documentation (IPG, MTR, CR)
-Write a cover letter covering: your experience, language spoken and every kind of information that could be useful to us

 

Compensation:

150chf per day – so 300chf for the weekend

A meal at noon will be provided, snacks and soda will be available in the judge area.

For the judges who will stay both days and might be needing for a room to sleep you can add it to your cover letter, the organizer will look one for you (the room will be paid by the organizers for saturday night).

 

Role as Floor Judge:

Be active on the floor, be able to work on basic task (as deckcheck, end of round, pairings, …) and help for the side events.

 

Before the start of the event:

The shifts will start 30 min before the beginning of the swiss rounds for a small briefing, and should end after the swiss rounds if you’re not staffed for the top 8. If you’re staffed for the top 8 your shift will start 3 hours later.
