Hello fellow judges!

The pandemic has been a great source of rust for all of our judge skillsets, so it’s up to us as a community to continue to focus on not only skill maintenance but also skill-building. This conference will focus on soft skills, those things that are less about knowing the specific citable rules and penalties, and more about knowing best practices on how to engage with players and even other judges, as well as judges’ roles in digital engagements with players and how they differ from in-person engagement.

Schedule is as follows:

All times are EST Eastern Standard Time ( For easy conversion, click here: https://time.is/ET )
10:10 – 10:15 – Opening Statements and Introductions
10:15-11:00 – Bias and It’s Role In Judging, Andrew Branoff
11:00-11:10 – 10 minute break/wrap-up
11:10-12:00 – Explaining Rulings to players, Isaac King
12:00-12:10 – 10 minute break/wrap-up
12:10-1:00 -The Next Generation, A Look Into The Values of Community, Nathaniel Graham
1:00-1:10 – 10 minute break/wrap-up
1:10-2:00 – Running a successful Pre-release, Bryan Prillaman
2:00-2:10 – ten minute break/wrap-up
2:10-3:00 – Soft Skills in Judging Q&A – Tobias Vyseri
