Edit: Thank you all for applying! We have had about 160+ people apply. As we are massively over the amount of applicants we can accept, we will be closing the applications for attendees early. Those will close at 11:45 pm PST on Jan 14th. That will allow us Jan 15 and 16 to select people and give the announcements to those selected on Jan 17. Remember: if you are not selected, still join the Discord, change your name, and be ready the first evening. If we have people not show, we might be able to slot a few people in.

Welcome to the first ever US West weeknight conference! This type of digital conference is meant primarily for those judges that work at the LGS-level of events, that help foster their local community, and may not desire to look beyond those interests. It is also for judges that can not travel to conferences or larger events because they are busy keeping the LGS environment alive or work their primary career and want to improve their judging abilities. We are looking at focus the topics around skills you will need to work your LGS and continuing to support your playerbase.

This is a US West conference, so we will first be accepting 50% of the attendees from this region first, but we’ll be allowing others from various regions to attend as well. If we have greater attendance than what we can accept, we will be reviewing cover letters. This is a foil supported conference, though we will gain the new digital packets this time. You will need to be L1+ at the time you apply and there will only be room for 100 judges total, both staff and attendees. The conference will be hosted on Zoom with the chat taking place and being moderated on Discord. Your name will need to match on both Zoom and Discord as seen on Judge Academy. It will be a two day conference, one track this time, and you will need to be there both days for all the topics to gain credit for the packet. Attendance will be taken randomly during both days. If you do not get in the conference, you can be placed on a waiting list. Please make sure you join the Discord and are waiting on the evening of the first half to see if someone doesn’t show up. If we can slot people in, we would rather fill in slots than have them go to waste.

We are looking at doing the conference broken up into two evenings: Wednesday, January 26th and Thursday, January 27th. Both days will start at 6 pm Pacific and end at 8:15 pm. This allows for two topics each time with a short break in between both to give everyone a chance to relax. The Zoom server will be opened up early to facilitate talking and fellowship and will stay open a little later if there are questions or people want to continue to mingle.

We are looking for presenters and have a desire for two soft skill topics and two hard skill topics. We also need a backup presenter that can do either if needed. Applications for presenters will close Dec 26 at 11:59 pm Pacific. We are looking for topics such as:
-Educating judges how to run and organize a conference for their local area
-Fostering a welcoming community
-Public speaking or player engagement
-JAR/MTR discussion
-Store Logistics
-Layers
-SBA’s
-LEC/HCE
-Intro to investigations
-many more

If you want to apply to present, click the option below and submit a cover letter explaining what topic you would like to bring to the conference, or slate of topics. If you want to also apply to be a backup, mention that as well. If you only want to apply to present, do not select the “Attendee” role.
