I am pleased to announce the Central Texas Mock Tournament is ready to go! The event will be held on May 15th, 2022 at Black Box Gaming in Harker Heights (NOT the Copperas Cove location).

During the mock rounds, each attendee will play the role they are staffed for, with “Team Leads” supervising and mentoring the other Judge roles.

Those not selected for a Judge role have the option of attending as a “Player”. All attendees in a “Judge” role are expected to attend the presentation AND mock tournament portions of the conference. Those in a “Player” role need only be present for the mock rounds, but may attend presentations if they choose. If you choose NOT to be a “Player”, you can also choose to be added as a “Standby” in the event someone cancels, as well as how far out from the event you wish to fall off the list.

At the end of the conference, feedback will be collected via google form posted on the Discord. If foils are received in time, they will be distributed at the conference, if not they will distributed via mail. Acceptances will be on a rolling basis, meaning as applications come in they will be evaluated. Once accepted for a role, you will not be removed except by special request. Note: “Team Leads” will be treated as Presenters for support purposes.

“Players” are expected to bring their own Modern-format legal deck. At the both the Players and Opening meeting there will be relevant information for each audience regarding how the event will function. Players don’t need to be at the opening announcements and Judges don’t need to be at the Players meeting. Note: There will be solicitation for non-Judge players as well.
