Hello judges!

Welcome to the conference page for the Summer Soft Skill conference Singapore Time on the 4th of July! This event will start at 12:00 (noon) SGT/PHST 4:00 UTC
Please be aware that there are two sister events on the dates of the 12th and 13th of June that are featuring similar seminars. You can head here for the Americas time event and here for the Europe time event.

This starting time was chosen so that as many regions as possible have the opportunity to join this event from Asia and Oceania.

You can apply for all 3 SSSC events but you can only be accepted for 1 of the 3 conferences maximum. The content per day is the same but the starting time is different. Please read the application page carefully!
There are already over 160 unique applicants for the first two events. Make you cover letter count!

The SSSC will feature a day full of soft skill seminars with presenters that have a lot of practical knowledge of their topics. The full timetable as well as the final topic names will be released at a later point, but for now I can show you most of the presenters and their topics, subject to change and not all presenters yet finalized.

Presenters

The duration of sessions varies from 60 to 90 min.
Please plan around 7-8h for this conference including all seminars and breaks.

Ivan Petkovic – Feedback 101 in Judging (and everyday) Life
Christian Gawrilowicz – Feedback 201 – Practical Application
Paul Johnson – Public Speaking
QJ Wong – Conflict management
Julio Sosa – Basic (and not so basic) Team Leading

Additional moderator, admin and organizer help by Gerard T. and Sashi Balakrishnan.

There will also be the chance to ask questions before the event via a google form and these will be forwarded to the presenters for the weekend.

Schedule

TBA later.

Conference setup

Please be aware that the setup of this conference is a bit unusual: there will be two tracks during the day that feature the exact same content but in a different order.
The attendance limit for the event is 70 attendees in total, meaning 35 per track. Attendance is limited to enable better interaction between presenters and attendees – active participation is highly wanted!

What this means for you is that you will be assigned to one of the two tracks and will be in that track for the day.
There will be shorter and longer breaks available between to refresh a bit and also you can skip up to one seminar of your choosing to accommodate for your local breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack time or for having a walk.

It is expected that you are present for the other seminars!

Application details

When applying, also fill out your cover letter and state why you want to attend this event and what you expect from it. Make it brief and stay with 200 words or less! We have limited spots available and this determines if you get one of those spaces or not. If you would be able to attend at both events time setting you may apply to both events and will be able to be selected for either one of the but maximum one. (Click here for the Americas time and here for the Europe Time event.)

Applications will close 4 weeks  prior (6.6.2021) to the event and selection will be 3 days after that.

Foils

This event is foil sponsored for all attendees selected that are certified with Judge Academy at the time of the event. Non-tracked shipping is covered, if you wish tracked shipping you will have the option to pay extra at a later point.

Attendees will receive one pack of foils, Level 3´s one pack additionally.
