Come join us at Star Wars Celebration! Cascade Games is running demo events for Asmodee Games at the show. We will be staffing judges for several games and roles.

You DO NOT need to know how to play these games now, we will teach you how to play and how to demo these games. This event is a great opportunity to get back into the flow of larger events and to see Star Wars Celebration.

Roles and Expectations

Greeter: You’ll be the first face people see when they get out of the queue and into the booth. You’ll help identify their areas of interest and guide them to the appropriate area of the booth.

Family Games Demo: You’ll run quick demos roughly ten minutes in length for the following games: Spot It: Mandalorian, Jabba’s Palace – A Love Letter Game, Star Wars: Unlock! and Story Cubes: Star Wars. These games are all quick to learn and quick to play.

Star Wars Outer Rim Demo: You’ll run an abbreviated demo teaching the first few turns of Outrim and the expansion Unfinished Business. Demos will run roughly 30 minutes.

Expert Games Demo: You’ll run abbreviated demos or help host a King-of-the-Hill style tournament for X-Wing, Legion, or Imperial Assault. Demos will run for roughly 30-45 minutes, depending on the game. King of the Hill games should take less than an hour and require less direct oversight.

Promoter: You’ll be out on the floor of the convention with a mobile demo station and game piece examples to hook attendees and direct them towards the booth, where they can enjoy a full game demo.

Again – you do not need to be an expert with any of these games to apply for this event. There will be online training sessions to get staff up to speed and a final in-person training the day before the convention. If selected for a role, you will likely work primarily in that role, but may be asked to help cover other roles. If you would like to work in multiple roles please let us know. Each shift is expected to be nine hours, including a one-hour break. Shirts will be provided for all staff.

Compensation

If you are selected to join us you get:

1) Star Wars Celebration Badges

2) Hotel Room (shared)

3) $16 an hour. Most staff can expect to work roughly 25 hours at the show.
