Welcome to the Nashville Mock Tournament! This event will have judges learn about how to function as a part of a multi-judge team while also learning how to deal with a variety of complex rules and policy situations that could come up at an event. L1 Judges will practice taking realistic judge calls in a tournament setting (with L2+ judges and local competitors as the players) while also being able to receive immediate feedback on what parts of the call were done well and what areas could use work. There will be a select number of L2+ judges to shadow the L1 teams during the event, which will be compensated in a presenter role.

This event will have foil support for those who are accepted to either judge or play.

Schedule:

10:00-10:30 – Arrive at store

10:30-11:30 – Pearls discussion about Comp REL with mini-presentations from shadow judges and event leadership

12:00-4:30 – 4 round tournament

4:30-5:00 – Debrief of event and foil distribution

5:30-7:30 – Judge Dinner (location TBA)
