Oracle Events is looking for a team exceptional judges and senior judges to take on the role of Team Lead and Head Judge at the upcoming South East Asia Championship Weekend 2023 – Singapore running from 2nd to 4th June 2023. Applications will close on 9th April 2023.

A rough schedule of South East Asia Championship Weekend 2022 – Singapore is as follows:

Friday:

• Last Chance Qualifiers – Run @ Competitive REL

Saturday:

• SEA Championship Final Day 1 – Pioneer Constructed @ Competitive REL
• SEA Championships Qualifiers – Run @ Competitive REL
• Legacy Constructed Win a Dual – Run @ Competitive REL

Sunday:

• SEA Championship Final Day 2 – Pioneer Constructed @ Competitive REL
• Centralised Open – Pioneer Constructed @ Competitive REL
• Judges not judging in Centralised Open will start with a later shift till end of last event
• SEA Championships Qualifier – Run @ Competitive REL

All days:

• Side Events – side event program catering to all players, from casual to competitive

2 & 3 Days Positions

In an effort to create opportunities for as many people as possible, we are offering two day positions (Saturday/Sunday) in addition to three day positions (Friday till Sunday). Applicants available for two day positions may be given higher priority than those only available for three day positions due to limited spaces.

As you are answering the application questions, please select only those groups of days for which you are available to judge.

Compensation: Do note that the rates below are for each day

Bases:

• L1 – $120 SGD
• L2 – $150 SGD
• L3 – $200 SGD

Roles:

• Team Leads – additional $100 SGD
• Head Judge – additional $200 SGD

Expectations:

• L3s and Judge Leads are expected to work until the end of the final event of each day they are staffed.

Roles

• Maintain the break schedule for side event judges
• Ensure scheduled events and on-demand events start on time and run smoothly
• Be the “Head Judge” for the purposes of appeals and investigations of any scheduled events without a dedicated HJ
• Ensure side event area is clean and fit for play at all times
• Be the first line of resource for side event judges

• Floor Judge Main Event
• Floor Judge Scheduled Events / On Demand Events
• Help maintain a clean play environment
• Be engaged in the event you are staffed in as a Judge to provide best player experience for players

Note:

A successful L1 judge applicant would be one who has completed all 11 modules in the Advanced Comprehensive Rules tree for L2s and all 9 modules in the Competitive REL tree for L2s. L2s are highly recommended to do a refresher on the modules to keep yourself up to date.

Judges who are looking for advancement may be prioritised in lieu of building up a team of experienced local SEA judges.

“Judges looking for Advancement” are Judges who:
–  Are L1s

1. Completed All 9 modules of Competitive REL for Level 2
2. Additionally also complete 10 other modules for Level 2 or L2+ endorsement

– Are L2s

1. Complete all 6 modules of L2 Event Management or 1 complete L3 quality with its associated self review
