SEA L1 Development Conference 2020 @ The Philippines

We’re excited to invite you to the upcoming conference here in the Philippines. This conference is something different, the focus of this conference is “L1 Development.” That is right, the focus of this conference is for the development of L1 judges.

This is a JA Supported conference.

Now, if you’re an L2+ judge, you might be wondering? what’s in it for me? That I’ll discuss further below.

Why this conference?

This conference aims to help our fellow L1 Judges to be immersed in various topics that will really help them be a better version of themselves as an L1 Judge.

Topics about Customer Service, Building a Judge Brand and many others.

Judge “Development” is a long journey that would help define a judge’s identity. While “Advancement” is a goal and that it is a part of the bigger picture.

Focus on “development” is very timely, particularly now that we’re going through changes.

Our primary objectives for this conference are as follows:

Gather: To meet and bond with other members of the PH Judge Community as well as judges from other countries who will be visiting.

Learn: Attend, be at the moment and learn from the presentations prepared by selected presenters.

Collaborate: Share our ideas on how we can improve as judges and how we can improve the community as a whole

Plan: To draw out plans, write down our goal as a program for the rest of 2020 and moving.

Now, my fellow L2+ judges,  most of the topics that would be presented might be something that you’re already familiar with. But hearing a different perspective would be additional learning about the subject matter. Also, those topics would something that we can share with our mentees. So, for this conference, we would-be mentors to the L1 judges attending the event, share our insights during discussions and lead group discussions.

Conference fee: 200 php (to help cover the cost for the sound system,projector rental and other expenses.)

Will be collected on the day itself

Note: Lunch, Drinks, and Snacks will not be provided by the organizers of this event.

We’re planning to have a Dinner Get-together after the conference. The venue of which will be announced soon.
