All the Physical Learning, None of the Omicron Varient!
Hello All,
Welcome to the first in-person Judge Conference in over two years. Thats right, this conference will be physical (knock on wood). That means you gotta put on pants and put away the video game on the second monitor.
Over the last 2.5 years we have both gained and lost a lot of judges, to the point that many of us don’t know who is active anymore. This conference is to get us all face to face and allow us to network and relearn who is in the area. The hope is to get some learnin’, get some human interaction, and maybe even go out to dinner afterwards.
While this conference is billed as “central florida” we won’t exclude people from Miami, Jacksonville, or even Tallahassee or even some yankees if they are willing to make the drive. There is a cap, so preference will be given to presenters (obviously) and people in state.
Please note that as a PHYSICAL conference, foils will be distributed AT the conference. This means applications will close a week prior to the event so the TO can make adjustments to store space and such and things.

However the “window” of the conference will be 1245 EST -1710 EST. (thats 1pm to 5:10pm for you city folk)
Applications:
Conference will be capped. Priority will go towards in region judges with an additional discriminator of quantity of previous conferences attended if needed. We will accept up to the cap. The application will ask for a cover letter. Please provide your favorite blue card so that I know you read this far. After that, say anything you want.
MASKS
Masks may be required. We are going to see what the landscape is, but if the LGS owner and I decide that masking up is the correct thing to do, don’t gimme no fuss now.
Communication/Updates:
While I will post to the Facebook group and discord, the primary mechanism for updates will be via the EVENT forums on the Judge Academy Website. Make sure you are set up to receive emails from events you apply to. As this is a physical conference, please do not rely on discord for notifications.
Support:
This event is foil support by Judge Academy.
In order to receive support you must:
1) Apply and be accepted to this event.
2) Be a Judge Academy certified L1 or higher at the time applications close. (Not the time of the conference. the time the application window closes)
3) Attend all 4 Presentations in their entirety. Do not be late.
4) Fill out all feedback form for each presenter.
