Welcome to the International Level 2+ Conference Europe Page for 2021!

It is our pleasure to invite you to Berlin for the next international Level 2+ conference from September 4th to 5th! Another year with a new try for this city.
Our goal is to help connect L2+ judges from all over Europe and the world to share and gain knowledge and have a great time doing it!

The main focus of this conference will be on high level hard and soft skills.

Berlin, a long-divided city united!

Berlin, the German capital and a place we cannot go to with a MagicFest. Then, why not have a conference there? Certainly better than another “GP Best Buy”.
It is a city with a turbulent past. Wars, being split and now reunited for 30 years. It offers a lot to the curious tourist, from architecture to culture and music.
This city gave us both the heavy sound of Rammstein and the easy-going Hip Hop and Reggae tunes of Seeed.

As the capital city, Berlin is easily accessible via plane, train or car. If you are flying you can now even finally fly to the now open BER airport (no joke!).
Direct day and night trains are available from many cities like Warsaw, Prague, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Brussels, Budapest and even from Moscow!
Germany has a vast high-speed rail network and it can bring you to Berlin from afar or you can use it for some additional trips before or after the event.

There will also be a travel guide for Berlin to give you more details on anything you might need to know!

Conference facts

– Full Saturday and half of Sunday (planned until 15:00/16:00)
– Saturday start at 10:00
– Up to three seminar tracks at the same time planned
– The event has a cap for attendance that is currently being reviewed to what it will be, due to the Corona situation, and it will be updated here as soon as we know more. It will be first-come, first-serve basis for L2+ judges with a certain amount of L1 slots.

COVID and the event

The event will adhere to all rules that will be needed at the current time. We will also offer disinfectant and there will be the need to have an attendee list with contact details.
Please plan that you need to get tested before you attend the event, vaccinated, or have recovered from COVID.

The venue will provide plenty of extra space and an outdoor area to have a safe environment.

The corona situation is getting better but please be aware that the event can still be canceled if the situation demands it,
we do not expect this to be the case but recommend that you book travel and hotel with cancellation options.

Current up to date information on entry regulations into Germany can be found here (click). This is changing on regular evaluations of the situation.

Please only make travel plans if you feel safe doing so.
We are looking into the option of streaming some content for people that cannot attend, but please be aware that there are no foils for attending this and it is not 100% fixed yet. Look out for announcements on this later.

Attendance fee

We are not able to get the venue sponsored this year due to different factors.
What this entails is that we need to ask for a participation fee of 10€ per person that needs to be paid via PayPal on or before the application deadline.
If the event ends up being canceled, you will get the money reimbursed. Information on payment details will be shared in the forum.

We understand that this can cause issues for some people and I strongly encourage you to reach out to us via email to klaus@lassacher.co.at so that we can find a solution.

Other activities

– We will organize city tours of Berlin done by one of the local Judges involving the most iconic sites of Berlin.
– There will also be an organized dinner on Friday and Saturday that you can join if you want.

One hotel very close is the Aletto Kudammm for example.
Booking.com is usually a great choice to find a hotel or apartment.
We will add more here soon.

Foil support and sponsoring

We can now also announce that Ultimate Guard is sponsoring this event and every attendee is getting a goodie bag!

In order for you to receive judge promos, you must be certified with Judge Academy as Level 1+ Judge (for L1´s please read the next point).
Foils will be given out at the event. There is a chance we will only be apply to ship the foils to you afterwards to enable a close deadline, checking this at the moment!

— Attending as Level 1 that is close to L2 —
This event is planned and made for Level 2+ judges and is focusing on more advanced topics and less basics. Due to the corona situation and the lack of events and therefore many judges not getting the needed events to advance to L2 we do allow Level 1´s to apply with the recommendation of a level 2 or 3 that needs to be included in the application.
Level 2 and 3 will be accepted with no restrictions. Level 1´s will get confirmation that they are accepted extra, space is limited for these slots. If you have any questions for this, please contact Klaus via the contact information at the end of the event page.

Application deadline

— Applications are open —
You can still apply to event on shirt notice!
