Welcome to the first judge conference in Melbourne for 2020! This event is open to all judges and judge candidates, but to receive foils you must be registered with Judge Academy and have paid your dues. The event is being run on a Public Holiday and the day after the Good Games Series weekend to ensure the most people are available to come down to the conference.

There will be a number of different presentations by lots of fantastic judges helping to refine your skills, as well as on-site food by our in-store cafe, and the opportunity to play some games after the event. If you would like to present at the conference, please let me know in your application, or feel free to reach out to me via Facebook, Slack or email at andrew@progamers.com.au.

Doors will open at 10.30am for an 11am start. We make our own coffee on site so arrive early to ensure you’re wide awake when the conference begins.

10:30 Doors open, lunch pre-orders begin
11:00 Introduction by Andrew Anastasi and Emanuel Cachia
11:15 Leveling Up to L2 by Mark Brown
12:15 Priorities in Deck Checks by Andrew Anastasi
13:00 Lunch break
14:00 Tournament Errors and How to Fix Them by Gareth Pye
15:00 Working Effectively with TOs by Jim Dowling

The venue is the comfortable and spacious gaming space at Pro Gamers and Collectables in Ravenhall (near Deer Park). There is plenty of free parking available on site, and trains to the nearby Deer Park Station plus a bus to the Burnside Shopping Hub are available for anyone taking public transport. We also have an on-site cafe where we serve a variety of lunch food including Parmas, Pizzas, Dumplings and more. We will be taking pre-orders in the morning to ensure the smoothest possible lunch break. There is also a McDonalds, KFC and other food venues within walking distance as well.

There will be plenty of space for anyone who would like to come, but please make sure you get in before the deadline if you want to receive foils, as you may miss out if you aren’t registered in time.

Hope to see you all at the event!
