Welcome to the Springfield, Illinois Q2 2022 In-Person Judge Conference!

This conference will serve as a refresher for judges returning to events, providing information on how things have changed since the pandemic started and how best to interact with the current world of Magic and judging. We hope to set you up for success as you return to the world of Magic judging.

Judges of all levels or no level are welcome to attend, regardless of region. The conference is foil supported for all judges who are certified Level 1 or higher on the date of the conference. This conference has a cap of 20 people, and cover letters will be taken into consideration when accepting applicants.

It will be held in-person at Titan Games – Springfield, located at 2205 Wabash Ave, Ste 103, Springfield, IL 62704.

 

The schedule for the conference is as follows, with all times in Central Daylight Time:

 

12:00pm: Doors open

12:30pm: Opening remarks – David Schultz

12:45pm: Returning to In-Person Events – Giovanni Valencia

1:35pm: Break

1:45pm: 2020-2022 Rules and Policy Updates – Joel Mcalister

2:35pm: Break

2:45pm: Fostering Community and Positive Play Environments – Eli Klein

3:35pm: Break

3:45pm: Growing the Judge Community – Nathaniel Graham

4:35pm: Closing remarks – David Schultz

7:00pm: Doors close
