So, you’ve been studying the IPG for a while now, and you already know the difference between Game Play Errors and Tournament Errors. But now we’re about to embark on a new kind of infraction – Unsporting Conduct.

In the case of Unsporting Conduct, we’re talking about infractions that don’t necessarily happen in the context of a game, or even have anything to do with tournament procedures. These infractions cover all kinds of behaviors that are disruptive to the event or the participants, in a way that obstructs their safety, competitiveness, enjoyment or integrity. They range from leaving excessive trash or the use of profanity, to hitting another person, stealing or cheating.
