Tuesday Update 6/16

First off! There is a second announcement posted today, which is that we are opening applications for a LC/CC for Japan. You can find more information HERE.

Next, I wanted to apologize to some of you who got incorrectly sent a reminder to complete your continuing education requirements. We are working on fixing our reports, and as soon as possible, we will get another reminder out to those who actually need it. So sorry for the mini-panic some of you felt if you got an email after completing all of the modules.

Side note, if you are an L1 and haven’t done your L1 Community Building track yet, you have until June 30th to do so! It’s ~4 hours total if you watch the videos at normal speed, and they have some great material in them, so don’t wait! As a reminder, those classes were added in October when we raised the bar for L1 to include soft skills, and are:

  • Fostering a Positive Environment
  • Encouraging Sportsmanship
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Public Speaking
  • Teaching Skills
  • Event Promotion and Marketing
  • Building Relationships with Local Game Stores
  • Demoing Magic
  • Building Your Judge Brand

Finally, we have two weekend left in our Magic Arena Judge League, with Judges competing to represent their region in the MAJL Finals, and to have a chance at becoming Judge Academy’s first Judge Token. If you’d like to participate, you can find the Leaderboard (and the sing-up links for this weekend’s events) HERE.
